Born and raised in NJ, Marie developed an early appreciation of art from numerous trips to the art museums of Manhattan. While in college she developed a passion for photography, spending many hours in the darkroom. Since moving to Indianapolis in 1979, Marie refined her craft at the Art Center of Indianapolis, taking many courses on photography and the darkroom. After spending two years in England, she returned to Indianapolis in 1999 where her passion was refocused utilizing digital photography.

Marie's most recent work has focused on images in urban settings using High Dynamic Range Photography to maximize the dynamic range of a scene, then tone mapping that image, which allows for the artist's creative expression. Her images are printed using Epson Stylus Photo printers (2400 and 4900) which utilize archival pigment inks to produce archival prints which will last over 200 years. Images are captured using a Canon 5D Mark III Digital SLR.
